"The house was one of the most comfortable and clean (very clean!)
vacation rentals we've ever had. Stan and Annie were warm and
welcoming, but also sensitive about when to leave guests to themselves." - Steve & Susan

Navigation:
Plum Hollow is the larger of our two cottages. The living
space is on a single level -- only the laundry area is in the
basement. Entry ways are fairly easy for the elderly or infirm to
access, with three steps to enter the front & four steps in the
back. Both entrances have very sturdy hand rails. The
living room, dining room, & kitchen are nicely interconnected,
giving the common areas a roomy feel. The old style booth in the
“Malt Shop” provides extra mealtime sitting space, or an out-of-the-way
game room for the kids. A lot of guests like to be able to take
their coffee & a book out here in the early morning while the
others are sleeping in.
Bedrooms 1 & 2 have enough extra room for the roll-a-way bed,
if needed. The master bedroom has its own private sink &
toilet. The main bath, with shower/tub combo, plus
toilet and sink, is located between bedrooms 1 & 3. Bedroom
2, in the rear of the cottage, has an open-air feeling with its
cathedral ceiling & fan. The kitchen is equipped with everything
you need, and we try to keep a nice selection of spices &
condiments so you won't need to buy or bring your own.
Four majestic beech trees enhance the area around the Plum Hollow
cottage, and a large older pine helps shade the picnic & grill area
during BBQ dinners. There is a picnic table and a combination
bench/table next to the grill area. We supply plenty of outdoor
seating and have extras if needed. Either gas or charcoal
grilling is available -- let us know which you prefer before your
arrival. A shaded swing between a pair of trees in front is very
comfortable.
A large off-street parking area is provided.
